Media Measurements

Occupational health and safety legislation stipulates that enterprises should have workplace environment measurements when necessary. It is the duty of the employer to protect workers in the workplace from factors that are under-utilized or excessively excessive. This can only be achieved by measuring the workplace environment.

Article 10 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act obliges employers to conduct studies to determine the risks that employees may be exposed to in the workplace working environment.

As clearly stated in the Regulation on Laboratories for Measuring, Testing and Analyzing Business Hygiene published on August 20, 2013, employers are obliged to adjust the workplace environment to standards and to make these measurements, if necessary.

WHAT ARE THE WORKING ENVIRONMENTAL MEASURES?
The Occupational Health and Safety Act stipulates that employees are exposed to hazards in the workplace, measured and removed. These hazards may result from the excess or deficiency of foreign substances present in the environment.

Where the Risk Assessment is unable to determine the improper nature of the materials, it is necessary to make media measurements. Physician Oğlu OSGB was authorized by the Turkish Accreditation Authority as an experimental laboratory for environment measurements and as Laboratories for Measuring, Testing and Analyzing Occupational Hygiene by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

WHAT ARE THE WORKING ENVIRONMENTAL MEASURES?
Physician Oguz OSGB & Measurement Laboratory is an accredited work hygiene laboratory for all media measurement. Measurements are divided into work environment and personal exposure. While working environment measures take into account occupational hygiene in the overall environment, personal exposure measures determine how much work a worker is doing throughout the day.
